Healing Strong Conference and Retreat is 100% driven by volunteers, all of whom have been impacted personally by cancer. From the kitchen angels who will be working with the retreat center to prepare healthy, delicious meals to the prayer team who have been meeting and praying together for months leading up to the event, to the volunteer fundraisers who are working behind the scenes, the hope of the team for Healing Strong is that each participant will walk away knowing they have been empowered in a manner that was loving and hope-filled.

Real estate investor and musician Chris Wark was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer in 2003, at 26 years old. He had surgery and instead of chemo, used nutrition and natural therapies to heal himself. He now runs a popular health blog at ChrisBeatCancer.com with a worldwide audience. Chris recently appeared as a guest on the Ricki Lake show. Chris will serve as the Emcee and will also share his story, his strategy, and his mission to help people transform their health and reverse disease.

Dr. Isaacs is a pioneer in cancer and alternative therapies. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine specialist working with her colleague, Nicholas J. Gonzalez, M.D., in New York City, treating patients diagnosed with cancer and other serious degenerative illnesses. She received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. She has written papers published in Nutrition and Cancer and Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine, and is the co-author of the book The Trophoblast and the Origins of Cancer.

Known as “The Juice Lady” for her work with juicing and detoxification, her juice therapy and cleansing programs have been popular for more than a decade. She has practiced as a clinical nutritionist and as a celebrity nutritionist for George Foreman and Richard Simmons. Cherie’s books have been featured in four cover stories for Women’s World magazine. Cherie has appeared on Fox Morning News, Chicago Fox News (feature story), CNN, WCBS “Live From the Couch, Sid Roth Show, and Jordan Rubin’s “Living Beyond Organic”.

With more than thirty years in the field of alternative medicine, Dr. Seeger has been the director of two Holistic Health Clinics, offering in her practice nearly every clinically proven non-toxic healing therapy. She has authored two books, along with training videos, instructional CD’s, teleseminars and webinars. Her passion and inspiration came from her own family members who were afflicted with cancer. Most recently Dr. Seeger is conducting extensive and groundbreaking herbal research in the Amazon Rainforest. She hosts a popular Cancer Winner Radio talkshow and is the creator of an online television show: Cancer Answers.

After losing several family members to cancer, Ty began a decade long quest to learn all he possibly could about non-toxic cancer treatments and the medical industry. What he uncovered was shocking. In 2006, he published “Cancer: Step Outside the Box” which has become a best-seller (over 100,000 copies sold) and called the “most eye-opening book since 1984.” Ty co-hosts a weekly radio show called “Outside the Box Wednesdays”. He is a happily married husband and father.

He is an inspirational speaker, corporate chaplain, consultant, certified HeartMath provider, and a Russian Orthodox (ROCOR) priest with degrees in theology and psychology. He is co-author with his wife, Cherie, of four best-selling books including The Complete Cancer Cleanse. Fr. John integrates Biblical truths with insights from neuropsychology, cardiac psychology, and behavioral medicine as part of training for excellence to reach our God-given potential.

Dr. Desaulniers, better known as “Dr. V”, maintained successful practices in the Wellness Field since 1979. Specializing in Bio-Energetics, Meridian Stress Analysis, Homeopathy, Digital Thermography and Chiropractic, Dr. V brings a unique approach to Health and Wellness. After 30 years in active practice, she decided to “retire” and devote her time to sharing her personal, non-toxic healing journey with Breast Cancer. She created the foundation for “The 7 Essentials”, a step by step guide for healing and preventing Breast Cancer Naturally.

Prior to focusing on fitness and health, Wendy worked in corporate America for more than 20 years. Today, she is a certified fitness trainer, martial arts and kickboxing instructor, and motivational health coach. She owns My H.E.A.L.T.H. Kick and her passion in life is to Help Everyone Achieve Life Through Healthy Habits. Author of “Yummy Food…That’s Good For You”, Wendy is married to Dennis Hood, a former professional baseball player and owner of The Swing Doctor. She is the mother of three.

She was diagnosed 12 years ago with pancreatic cancer by Kaiser Permanente and her diagnosis was confirmed by pathologists at the Mayo Clinic. She chose a road of recovery that incorporated her belief in non-toxic therapies to healing cancer and her faith in God. Ann has appeared on Dateline and 20/20 in a sincere effort to provide other’s facing cancer with alternatives and hope. She teaches healing classes through her church and is working on a book regarding her fight with cancer. Today Ann is happy and healthy enjoying being a mother and grandmother.

Joan is a long-time cancer thriver. In 2002, she was diagnosed with stage 2 infiltrating ductal carcinoma. She opted out of the recommended treatments of chemotherapy and radiation, and chose to do a lumpectomy only. To support her healing, she focused on a strict regimen of diet, enzymes and juicing. She was intentional in her scheduled protocol and daily routine to build her own immune system up. She was inspired by her faith in God and breast cancer thriver Anne Fraham. Kate is a Leadership Consultant for one of the largest teacher training company in the country. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Education from Texas A&M University. Dr. Cirillo is the author of two experiential activity curricula, and various published papers. In 2010, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She didn’t fully understand non-toxic therapies until 2012 when she was diagnosed with a second cancer and recommended an invasive surgery that would have required extensive facial plastic surgery. She has chosen a non-toxic approach to healing that has dramatically changed her lifestyle and her own opinion and knowledge of healing cancer.

Almost four years ago, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He had his left kidney removed, only for the cancer to return as stage 4 metastatic disease to the lungs just 2 years later. His physicians gave him a very grim prognosis of only a 30% chance that he would live for 12 to 24 months only if he chose to do the recommended chemotherapy. He and his wife, Judy began praying and seeking other options. He chose to do a non-toxic enzyme therapy led by Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez and Dr. Linda Isaacs. His story of hope and healing is remarkable. He is a husband, father to three amazing kids, and a self-employed architect.

Four years ago Cortney’s life took a drastic turn. Just 3 months after her honeymoon, she found a lump under her armpit that led to the diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Facing months of chemotherapy and radiation, and a warning of severe side effects that included infertility, Cortney and her new husband Kevin went on a quest to find non-toxic therapies. Now almost 5 years later and two beautiful daughters, she has devoted her spare time to educate others and share her story and journey to healing on the very popular blog that has reached thousands around the world. She is a wife, mother and elementary school teacher.

Suzy is the founder of Healing Strong. With 24 years of experience in education and public health, she desires that Healing Strong becomes of grassroots movement that will call attention to non-toxic therapies and bring hope to cancer patients. She has lost 10 family members to cancer. In 2009 she was diagnosed with cancer herself. After surgery and radiation treatment for the thyroid cancer, subsequent scans showed lymph node involvement. Motivated by faith and inspired by the work of Dr. Max Gerson, Suzy chose a non-toxic method of healing that changed her life.
Healing Strong 2013 is a faith-based retreat located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia on a beautiful setting on the Chattahoochee River. The event will be held at The Lodge at Simpsonwood, an adult and family retreat center. It is surrounded by 227 acres of woodlands and towering trees and sits along the Chattahoochee River.
Healing Strong 2013 is a faith-based retreat located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia on a beautiful setting on the Chattanooga River. Beginning on Friday evening at 7:00 and continuing through Sunday noon, we will provide interactive, engaging sessions by board certified medical practitioners, nutritionists, naturopaths, best-selling authors and cancer researchers, along with testimonies of hope by cancer thrivers who have utilized non-toxic therapies.
You will have an opportunity to interact with our conference speakers in small group sessions, as well as engage in interactive discussions with our patient panelists. The entire weekend is devoted to helping you.
On Saturday evening, we will be offering a very special “Night of Worship” with live music, singing, prayer, and praise by very special guests. This is a weekend that touches a patient’s mind, body and soul. We can’t wait to meet you and share this experience with you.
The Elise Echols Memorial Fund is dedicated to provide support directly to cancer patients seeking information and support with non-toxic therapies. We will be offering scholarships to patients who are not able to pay or who may need some financial assistance. Scholarships are not guaranteed.

As a 100% volunteer supported organization, we currently have no salaries, no light bills, no capital expenses. 100% of donations support cancer patients, their families and friends through events like the Healing Strong Conference and Retreat and the website. We hope to raise enough funding to offer up to 25 scholarships to the Healing Strong Retreat.
